For Impresa Tre Colli safety come first and for this we have implemented an integrated Environmental Management System with the existing Quality Management System, thus creating a unified procedure that take into account also the management of occupational health and safety pursuant to OHSAS 18001:2007. This safety, environment and quality management system, documented, implemented and kept active, integrated into the global company management, is aimed at ensuring products/services of proven reliability, in order to meet the requirements of customers and introduce the continuous improvement process extended to environmental performances.
Through the system, the company defines its Safety, Environment and Quality policy, identifies production processes, their interactions and impacts on the quality of the supplied service, on the environment and with reference to occupational health and safety, assesses its performances, establishes the improvement objectives and programmes, ensures the availability of resources and information necessary to implement and monitor them and defines the operations of process management and control, always in compliance with regulatory provisions.
The SEQMS structure and requirements allow, therefore, to ensure its development over time through a continuous adjustment to reality and external restrictions (binding regulations, needs of customers and stakeholders and complaints) and based on the results of performance monitoring in terms of effectiveness, efficiency and improvement. The company periodically ascertains the compliance of its system with the requirements of UNI EN ISO 14001, UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 and OHSAS 18001:2007 and identifies improvement opportunities. The SEQMS is organized though a series of company documents complying with applicable regulations and to be used in case the manual lacks of full directions.

The identification of objectives takes into account also available human and financial resources, available best practices and regulatory and similar provisions. The objectives pursue the maintenance of regulatory compliance, continuous improvement of the environmental performances of relevant activities and pollution prevention.
Each objective includes one or more goals, possibly measurable and quantifiable, stating the steps necessary for the achievement of the relevant objective through the planning of suitable actions; for each objective a parameter is identified to allow the control and measurement of the achievement degree.
The Environmental Programme (general and detailed) is the document by which the Management implements, by defining responsibilities, terms and resources, the actions planned for the maintenance of regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of environmental performances, according to the guidelines provided for by the Environmental Policy.
Environmental programmes can include also activities of investigation and research on techniques and/or products that allow Impresa Tre Colli S.p.A. to reduce its environmental impacts, both with reference to the modalities of carrying out manufacturing and in terms of used methodologies and resources.
The progress of programmes is systematically kept under control and recorded by the people in charge of it as stated by the programmes. Objectives, goals and programmes are reviewed and updated in case of significant deviations or changes in the activities or the significance of related environmental issues, changes in applicable law provisions or management changes and, in any case, are subject to periodic reviews as part of the SEQMS review.
The SEQMS review may originate further organizational and operating actions necessary for an effective pursue of continuous improvement. The roles, responsibilities and modalities of documentation, approval, management and control of environmental objectives, goals and programmes are stated in detail in the Management review (ref. P.MI.09.G "Objectives, company programmes and data analysis").
Staff represents the main and most important resource of the organization for the correct implementation of the hse principles : therefore, the company undertakes to ensure skills, competence and training suitable for the assigned tasks to the whole staff involved in activities affecting the quality of the company processes, the interaction of the same with the environment and the company safety.
Moreover, the organization believes that the effectiveness, efficiency and improvement of its performances largely depend on the effectiveness, efficiency and improvement of the staff performances: therefore, particular attention has been paid to the involvement, update and continuous training.
